Ultrasound Doublefeed Detector:

All SCAMAX® M06 document scanners have three ultrasound doublefeed detector as a standard feature. These devices recognizes all double feeds and stops the scan process immediately. The sensors are located just behind the initial feed rollerss. Most important, the devices works with utmost reliability with all paper thicknesses. Thus, even mixed paper quality/thickness batches can be processed with utmost confidence.
The ultrasound sensors are a piezo-ceramic device of industrial strenght construction and are not affected by paper dust collecting on them. They just keep on working!!

Endorser:

The scanners are equipped with both a Pre- and Post-Scan Endorser. The endorsers print a character string on the front and/or back of documents. Formatting of the string is user defined and can contain information like date, time, job name and sequence number to name a few.

Adaptor to scan Transparencies:

Standard inbuilt, ready at the flick of a lever the device facilitates the scanning of transparencies and very thin (translucent) paper documents. A white rail prevents the camera from ’looking through’ a document, delivering a contrast rich image of excellent quality.

’Drop out colour’ Filter:

To suppress certain colours, ‘blind colours’, when using the bitonal scanner models SCAMAX® 4x2 and SCAMAX® 510® electronic filters can be employed. These filters are invoced via the TouchScreen Control Panel. This can result in considerable reduction in file sizes by eliminating redundant data with certain documents, which in turn can result in OCR engines running faster and with higher recognition rates.

Interfaces:

SCAMAX®4x2 utilise a standard RJ46 Ethernet connection delivering 1GB transfer speed with the right ethernet card fitted.
The SCAMAX®510 scanners use a SCSI interface. To drive these scanners all that is needed is a PC with a standard SCSI port. We strongly recommend using the Adaptec 29160 SCSI card for this purpose and, where possible, slot it into a 64-pin bus for maximum speed when scanning.
Using the ISIS and TWAIN drivers supplied with the scanners, any ISIS/TWAIN software will drive the scanners without any problems at all.
